The Pressure Journey is designed to help first-time clients understand the environment, learn what pressurisation feels like, become familiar with communication and ear-pressure equalisation, and progress only where appropriate.
Your introductory pathway
Screen • Orientate • Experience • Review
A structured pre-session conversation covering relevant health history, medication, ear and sinus comfort, respiratory considerations and any circumstances that may require medical clearance before participation.
Meet the chamber before pressure begins. Learn the communication system, equalisation techniques, oxygen-mask setup, prohibited items, supervision process and emergency procedures.
Where suitable, introductory sessions are supervised and delivered using Lumaterra's approved operating protocol, with comfort and tolerance taking priority over intensity.
We review your experience, tolerance and any relevant observations before discussing whether an ongoing Lumaterra wellbeing pathway is appropriate.
The technology
Meet the HC-S2
Lumaterra's HC-S2 is a hard-shell hyperbaric chamber with a recorded adjustable pressure capability from 1.1 to 2.0 ATA. Its system is designed around controlled pressurisation, monitored decompression, communication and oxygen delivery by mask.

Capability figures describe the equipment, not an individual client prescription. Session parameters are determined by Lumaterra's final approved operating protocol and suitability process.
Your first visit
What the experience is designed to feel like
You are introduced before you are pressurised. We explain the chamber, show you how to communicate with the operator and talk through ear-pressure equalisation before the session begins.
You are supervised throughout. Comfort, communication and the ability to stop are part of the experience, not afterthoughts.
You do not need to chase maximum pressure. The purpose of the starter journey is familiarity, appropriate progression and a consistent, well-documented experience.
Before you begin
Suitability comes before pressure
Hyperbaric environments are not appropriate for everyone. Before participation, Lumaterra screens for relevant medical history and circumstances that may require professional medical clearance or mean the service is not suitable.
Where screening raises a concern, the session does not proceed until the matter has been appropriately resolved.
Our operating approach
Safety before spectacle
Our opening protocol is being built around supervised operation, equipment checks, oxygen and fire-safety controls, client communication, cleaning, maintenance, emergency procedures and documented staff competency.
Lumaterra is a wellbeing service. The Pressure Journey is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, emergency care or treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional.
